Sources:2021-10-12

Fujian-Taiwan Plant Garden is located at South Gate Entrance of the Botanical Garden, built along Dongzhaikeng Reservoir in 2021, covering an area of about 3.0 hectares, with nearly 500 featured plant species and cultivars of Taiwan and Fujian, such as Syzygium formosanum, Cinnamomum kotoense, Liquidambar formosana, Cerasus campanulata, Lagerstroemia limii, and Phoebe bournei. It sets up four areas of color-leafed plants, fruit trees, Fujian featured plants and Taiwan featured plants, presenting the vegetation type of subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest and mixed broadleaf-conifer forest. The garden has viewing pavilions, corridors, platforms and other garden ornaments, as well as flowering plants along the main road and on the bank of the river. There are blooming flowers, fragrance of melons & fruits, tree shade, as well as escalators, stairs and hiking trails directly leading to Wanshi Road on the west. Overlooking Xiajin Straits, tourists may get a close view of green.

Fujian-Taiwan Plant Garden is the first specialized garden in China which is themed by the featured plants of Taiwan and Fujian. It will become the inquiry-based learning base for plant science research, popular science education and cultural exchange that are carried out across Taiwan Straits.
